ABOUT ME

My name is Zack Schwartz. I'm a game designer and writer with a strong drive to tell compelling stories in mediums that excite and innovate.

I'm an alum of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, graduating with a B.S. in Games & Simulation Arts and Sciences and a B.S. in Communication.

Game design is something I truly adore, and something I know is far more complex than many might believe.

My area of concentration is in the narrative field of game design, as I've been a writer from the time I could hold the crayon that matched my Blue's Clues Handy Dandy Notebook. Since those days, I've worked to improve my narrative skills through classes and a lot of practice.

I've been an avid gamer since my days playing the original Crash Bandicoot on the original Playstation and Pokémon Blue on my obnoxiously yellow Gameboy Color. As time has passed, I've moved on to playing an assortment of modern games on PC.

Upon realizing I was able to combine my writing skills with my hobby of video gaming, my heart has been dead set on game development with a focus on narrative. The GSAS (Game Simulation Arts and Sciences) program at RPI offered me a clear path to that dream.
